WANDR TRVL · Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how JBM Ventures Group LLC, doing business as WANDR TRVL and WANDR ("WANDR TRVL," "WANDR," "we," "us," or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit wandrtrvl.com, use your client account, interact with our AI Concierge, or open our emails (together, the "Platform").
It explains what these technologies are, what information they collect, why we use them, and the choices available to you. This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more broadly. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Privacy Policy.
6. Third-Party Service Providers
We work with service providers that set cookies or receive technical information when you use the Platform. They support:
- Hosting and content delivery providers
- Authentication and account security providers
- Security and bot-protection providers
- Error-monitoring providers
- Analytics providers (only with your consent)
- Advertising partners, including Meta and Google (only with your consent)
- AI service providers that power our AI Concierge (see Section 7)
- Email service providers (see Section 8)
We require our service providers to use this information only to provide services to us and not for their own purposes, except as permitted by law.
Some providers have their own privacy practices that also apply to information they collect. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, and you can prevent Google Analytics from using your data with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising partners. We advertise WANDR TRVL on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google (Search, YouTube, and partner sites). If you consent to Marketing cookies, these partners use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies on the Platform to:
- understand how you found the Platform and which of our ads led you here;
- show you WANDR TRVL ads on their services and other websites based on your activity on the Platform, such as journeys viewed and inquiries started (retargeting);
- measure ad performance and limit how often you see the same ad; and
- build audiences of people with similar interests to reach new prospective clients.
We use the following tools:
- Meta Pixel and Conversions API. The Meta Pixel records actions on the Platform in your browser. The Conversions API sends the same events from our servers to Meta, which improves measurement when browsers block pixels. We send events through the Conversions API only for visitors who have consented to Marketing cookies.
- Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing, including enhanced conversions.
- Google Analytics advertising features: Remarketing with Google Analytics and Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting.
- Customer lists. If you have given us your email address or phone number, we may share it in hashed (encoded) form with Meta and Google to show you relevant ads or exclude you from ads. You can opt out as described in Section 9.
Meta and Google may combine this information with other information they hold about you, including from other websites, and use it under their own policies. Learn more in Meta's Privacy Policy, Meta's Cookies Policy, and How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Error monitoring. We use a third-party error-monitoring service to keep the Platform reliable and secure. Like most websites, we treat it as strictly necessary: it runs for every visitor, sets no cookies, and sends information only when an error occurs. That information includes the page, the error, browser and device type, and the steps that led to it. We configure it not to record sessions, form entries, AI Concierge conversations, or IP addresses, and the provider may use the data only to provide its service to us.
7. AI Concierge
Our AI Concierge helps you explore destinations and plan journeys. Before you start a conversation, we tell you that the conversation is with an AI system and how it is handled.
- What is processed. The messages you type, the Concierge's responses, and technical information about the session.
- Who processes it. Your conversation is sent to our AI service provider, which acts on our behalf to generate responses. Our AI service provider does not use your conversations to train its models or for any other purpose of its own.
- Why. To answer your questions, prepare journey suggestions, build your traveler preference profile for future trip planning, and, if you request it, pass your preferences to a WANDR TRVL advisor.
- Retention. We keep Concierge conversations as described in the Data Retention section of our Privacy Policy. In short, conversations that lead to a booking are kept with that booking's records, other conversations are deleted after three years of account inactivity, and conversations from visitors who are not signed in are deleted within 90 days unless they become an inquiry. You can ask us to delete your conversations sooner, subject to legal obligations.
- Analytics. If you consent to Analytics cookies, we measure aggregate engagement with the Concierge, such as how many conversations lead to an inquiry.
Please do not share passport numbers, payment details, health information, or other sensitive information in the Concierge. A WANDR TRVL advisor will collect what is needed through secure channels.
8. Emails
Emails we send, including WANDR Letters and journey updates, may contain pixels and tracked links. They tell us whether an email was opened, which links were selected, and the approximate time and device. We use this to measure engagement, improve our communications, and avoid sending messages you don't read.
You can limit this by setting your email program to block images by default. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any marketing email. We will still send transactional messages about your journeys and account.
9. Your Choices
You control non-essential cookies. Accepting and rejecting are equally easy, and closing the banner without a choice is not treated as consent.
- Consent banner. On your first visit, choose "Accept all," "Reject all," or "Manage preferences" to choose by category.
- Cookie settings. Change your choices at any time by selecting "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and it takes effect from that point forward.
- Your Privacy Choices. Opt out of sharing for targeted advertising at any time using the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer, or by enabling Global Privacy Control (Section 10). This also opts your email address or phone number out of customer-list advertising.
- Browser controls. Most browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of the Platform, including sign-in, from working. Guidance is available from your browser's help pages and at All About Cookies.
- Analytics opt-out. You can stop Google Analytics across all websites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Advertising platform settings. You can manage how Google and Meta use your information for ads in Google My Ad Center and Meta Ad Preferences.
- Industry opt-outs. You can opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance, the Network Advertising Initiative, and, in Canada, the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada.
If you opt out of targeted advertising, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
Your choices apply to the browser and device you use. If you use another browser or device, or clear your cookies, you will need to set them again.
10. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of Analytics and Marketing cookies and of any sale or sharing of your personal information, for that browser. Cookie settings will show that your opt-out preference signal has been honored. If you are signed in, we will also apply the opt-out to your account where we can.
Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Because there is no common industry standard for interpreting DNT signals, the Platform does not currently respond to them. We do honor GPC, as described above.
Tracking across sites. If you consent to Marketing cookies, our advertising partners may collect information about your activity on the Platform over time and across other websites and services, to show you relevant WANDR TRVL ads. Analytics providers may also collect information about your use of the Platform if you consent to Analytics cookies. Without your consent, we do not allow third parties to collect this information on the Platform.
11. Additional Information for U.S. Residents
Certain U.S. state privacy laws, including California's, give residents rights over personal information collected through cookies.
- We do not sell personal information for money. WANDR TRVL does not exchange your personal information for payment.
- Sharing for targeted advertising. When you consent to Marketing cookies, our advertising partners receive information about your activity on the Platform to show you WANDR TRVL ads elsewhere. Under California law this may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, and under some state laws it may be considered "targeted advertising" or, in some cases, a "sale." In the past 12 months, the categories involved are identifiers (such as cookie IDs and IP address) and internet activity (such as pages viewed and inquiries started), shared with advertising partners.
- How to opt out. Use the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer, turn off Marketing cookies in Cookie settings, or enable Global Privacy Control. We will confirm when your opt-out has been processed. If you are signed in, we will apply your opt-out to your account where we can.
- Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know, access, correct, and delete personal information and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise them, see the California Privacy Rights section of our Privacy Policy or email privacy@wandrtrvl.com.
- No discrimination. We will not deny you service or charge you a different price because you exercised your privacy rights or declined non-essential cookies.
- Minors. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
12. Additional Information for Visitors in Canada
- Canada. We obtain your consent before using non-essential cookies, and they are off by default. Quebec residents may withdraw consent and exercise rights of access and correction under Quebec privacy law. You may contact our privacy contact in Section 15, and you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.
- International transfers. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. We use contractual and other measures to protect it.
13. Children
The Platform is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly use cookies to collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Platform, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our technologies, providers, or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised.
If we make material changes, such as adding a new category of cookies or beginning to share personal information for advertising, we will notify you through a notice on the Platform or by email before the change takes effect and, where required, ask for your consent again. Prior versions are available on request.
